We are pleased to announce the following events for August
2009.
10 am-12 pm; blacksmith forge on lower
grounds
Members of The Philip Simmons Artists-Blacksmith Guild
of South Carolina will fire up Historic Camden's forge on August 9th from 10-12
pm to demonstrate the art of traditional blacksmithing. The public, especially aspiring smiths
of all ages, is encouraged to attend. Started in 1995, the Guild is named after
Philip Simmons, the famous Charleston Blacksmith, and has over 100 members from
other
states (www.simmons.abana-chapter.com).
